Developing Your Emotional Intelligence In-Person

This is a 2 - day event, please ensure that you are available to attend on both days upon booking.

Emotional intelligence is your ability to combine your thinking with your feelings in order to build good quality relationships and to make good authentic decisions. It is managing who you are to meet your emotional needs through conscious choice and is fundamental to leading a full, rich and rewarding life both at work and in your personal life. 

The session covers: 

  • What is emotional intelligence and why is it important 

  • Using frameworks to understand all facets of emotional intelligence 

  • How to develop your own Emotional intelligence and develop strategies personal to you. 

  • Discover how to improve your relationships and performance by gaining insights into the emotions of other people. 

Target Audience 

Any UON staff member who is: 

  • interested in a basic understanding of why emotions play an important role in performance and success 

  • has an interest in developing their ability to manage their emotions 

  • wants to have a deeper understanding of themselves and how to work better with other people

You must have first completed the Trait Emotional Intelligence Questionnaire (TEIQue) and have received your 1:1 feedback. To arrange, please contact sdbookings@northampton.ac.uk
